Show your husband why he's so lucky...again

As if you needed another reason to show your husband what a lucky man is having married you, show him once again with this AHMAHZING meal.

Brown butter, sage & butternut squash pasta

Ingredients:

1 butternut squash, cubed
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 bunch kale, chopped
1 package whole wheat/brown rice pasta
1 cup grated Gruyere
Few sage leaves, chiffonade



Begin by roasting the butternut squash, tossed in olive oil, sage, and salt and pepper, at 350 (F) for about 30-45 minutes, until they are soft.

Cook the pasta, and set aside.

Heat a pan on very high heat and add your melted butter. Wait until it begins foaming then remove it immediately and you will notice it has turned to a beautiful brown colour and smells INSANE. (and by insane I mean, INSANELY good)

Add a little of the brown butter to a pan and saute your kale for a few minutes, then add your squash to reheat.

Toss your pasta with the butternut squash, kale. Serve in a shallow bowl, top with some of the grated Gruyere and finish off with the brown butter to your heart's content (don't be shy).

The end result is the creamiest, nuttiest most delicious meal you've ever tasted!

Wine pairing: you'll need something with some good acidity to withstand the creaminess of the brown butter and squash, an Alsatian Riesling will do just the trick!

Now wait patiently for your husband to bring you flowers because of what a great wife and chef you are.
