Beso de Vino

Beso de Vino translates into "Kiss of Wine". I had the opportunity to try this fun, incredibly easy drinking wine last night at a Christmas gathering.

Beso de Vino, Old Vine Garnacha, 2009, Carinena D.O. Spain

At only $13, I was really impressed with the balance and structure of this Garnacha. It wasn't overly jammy which I tend to find with many styles of Grenache. Rather, it was bright, fresh, and had plenty of raspberry and sour cherry on the palate, most likely due to the full malolactic barrel fermentation it was put through. It went well with the hard cheeses and crackers that were out for nibbling as well.

If you're looking for a wine that will please almost any palate from newbie to experienced, give this one a go.

Cheers,
Lola
